I am a project engineer with a mechanical engineering background.I like to think that I am the bridge between the ideas that are dreamt up by the Engineering team and the practical understanding of the fabricators and technicians. I have found that working on projects is more about people than dates and charts. Getting the best from the people you work with can directly influences the project delivery. I have a good technical understanding and a range of manufacturing knowledge. This helps me to connect and sharing in the understanding of the project requirements. Working at LFH has given me a great understanding of fluid systems and a better appreciation for machining for manufacture. My latest challenge has been helping to develop an ATEX, Zone 1, well fluid transfer pump with a DNV frame and has recently been through its acceptance testing.I have worked in and around the oil and gas industry for all my working career. I have a lot in my toolbox and I can add value to lots of different areas.CAD systems is a big part of my working life. I use CAD for working out designs, technical drawings, animations, technical illustration and CAD / CAM programming. I have used Autodesk Inventor since 1999 and I am proficient with Solidworks, which I now use daily. I also use AutoCAD and 3D studio Max.I am proficient at dimensional analysis and CMM inspection that includes the use of a Faro Arm. I have experience with document management systems and engineering procedures, including Design change DCN and revision control.I have a creative flair and can use my graphic design and illustration experience to help communicate on different levels. A great understanding of Abobe creative suites and I have used these programmes at a professional level (including, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro and After Effects). I have a semi-professional understanding of photography and I have taken photos that help with my presentations and promotional material.
