I have been a voracious reader for as long as I remember, and at a young age became as passionate about telling stories as I was at taking them in. I had my first short story published in an anthology sold at Barnes & Noble in the fifth grade and I was what might be considered the Hermione Granger of my English and Language Arts classes. I knew my skills would help me thrive as a public relations professional, and sought the best journalism education out there at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. I love telling the stories of brands and have experience in wine and spirits, consumer food products and travel and tourism. My brain thinks in storylines and I have hundreds of notes on my phone and emails to myself with tidbits waiting to be spun into something comprehensible. As the industry has changed and the tools available to us have grown I've become more than just a storyteller - I'm a content creator, a strategic communicator, a leader in crisis, a ghostwriter, a project manager, and so much more. Despite my stance in favor of the Oxford comma, I am a staunch AP Style follower. I also have a Spanish major! As for my spare time, Sparknotes is one of my favorite Instagram accounts, I love going on hiking and other adventures around the world and I'm also a swim instructor, so I have lots of patience.
