Dr. ARM Momtajuddin awarded his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Work (micro credit) in 1997. Did B.S.S (Hons.) and M.S.S. in Social Work during 1985-1989. He also obtained MBA major in Finance and Banking in 2008. Other than his academic attainments, Dr. Momtajuddin participated many short and long term professional training. The major professional training fields are: Financial Analysis for Decision Making”; “Effective Micro-finance Operations, Risk Analysis and Delinquency Management; “Micro-Credit Management and “Project Appraisal and Evaluation, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for Infrastructure Project”.He started professional carrier in consultancy services with the Kranti Associates Ltd in 1998 and has been continuing job under various capacity of the of the foreign funded donor projects. During his long profession, Dr. Momtaj has had the opportunity to provide professional consultative services to many international (IFAD, WB, ADB, JICA, ILO, UNFPA and IDB) and national (IMED, LGD, PKSF, Paddekhep, BMET and BRAC) donor funded projects in Bangladesh holding the position of Team Leader, Dy Team Leader, Institutional Specialist, Credit Specialist, Socio-Economist, Sociologist, Social Development Specialist, Environment & Social Safeguard Specialist, Resettlement Specialist, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, Micro credit Specialist and NGO Specialist etc.Involved in various capacities in donor funded (JICA, IFAD, World Bank, WFP, UNFPA, ADB, IDB, ILO etc.) social, agricultural and infra-structure development projects as consultant. Also involved in feasibility study, base-line survey, mid-term evaluation and impact evaluation studies. Capacity building of GO,NGO, project officials/ Stakeholders.Specialties: Rural finance, rural and community development, M&E Expert, Local governance, Administration and management, development and institutionalization of Rural Market, Growth Centre (GC) and Women Market Section (MMS) monitoring and supervisory responsibilities, Resettlement and Social Safeguard .
