The advent of HR practices in Garments sector was rather slow in comparison to other industrial sectors. Many Companies are unwilling to follow the proper HRM policies and programs to develop their workers and employees. But due to globalization there is increase in competition as a result development of human resource has become essential. However organized HR practices are being adopted mostly by the garments factory. In last decade we have seen not so good performance by garments sector, this was because of lack of HRD department in many factory. But the scenario has changed as HRD departments have taken up their role in Garments sectors. Various training programmer pertaining to training of workforce, garments related topics have helped in enhancing the overall performance of the garments factories.HR department has a void scope and Human resource management is responsible for how people are treated in organizations. It is responsible for bringing people into the organization, helping them perform their work, compensating them for their labors, and solving problems that arise. Also HR department is responsible for developing the feeling of motivation in the employees; this motivation in other words is the commitment of the employees towards the job and the organization.There are several management functions of a human resources (HR) department that will be specifically addressed: staffing, performance appraisals, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labor relations, safety and health, and human resource research etc.
