In this role, I conceptualize and devise network planning strategy, business plan, and budget in compliance with Corporate Strategy. One of my main duties is to drive and coordinate the Commercial Division, Strategy, and Regulatory teams to uncover new build areas for network initiation. I also draft the implementation and execution of the plan for the network (the "master plan") as per targeted coverage. Furthermore, I strategically plan all network elements, including access, core, and central offices to ensure fulfillment of current and future net requirements by network capacity. To resolve network capacity augments, customer requirements, and integration reconfigurations, I examine and approve engineering plans. I oversee network operations and track network performance to ensure adherence with network KPIs and SLAs. In addition, I represent the technical team for contract negotiations with wholesale and enterprise customers. Lastly, I create RFPs and analyze suppliers' responses.A few of my key accomplishments are:• Formulated and improved operations and infrastructure processes related to concept to market, develop to deploy, acquire to activate, and trouble to resolve.• Streamlined and enhanced network operations procedures, such as network rollout, acceptance, and handover.• Spearheaded rollout projects, including project planning, contract negotiations with vendors/local subcontractors, materials approvals, logistics, mobilization and supervision of implementation activities within time and cost needs.

During my stint here, I steered quality control team for Zain-Jo network 3G/HSPA project. My main duty was to execute network evaluations and comparative testing with competitor's network. I also interpreted the impact of commercial offers on network behavior, while conducting an interoperability test for any new vendor. Furthermore, I delegated duties and responsibilities to team members; ensured the transfer of knowledge between members. I developed, executed, and enforced robust procedures while generating and communicating reports, activity lists, presentations, and action plans. In addition, I performed network infrastructure analysis and deliver corresponding recommendations based on assessment results.A few of my notable accomplishments are mentioned below:• Built new tools based on UNIX and TCL to facilitate and automate management of network elements.• Established and evaluated Performance Indicators (KPIs) at each GSM and UMTS network levels, while performing periodic analysis for RF and core network performance.• Advised 2G and HSPA+ parameter changes to optimize network KPIs and services quality.• Recommended RAN/Core hardware, features, and license expansion to ensure optimal network readiness for marketing products.
