• Regulate the possession and application of radioactive substances and devices emitting ionizing radiation.• Ensure that all concerned persons, facilities and bodies comply with laid down regulations as provided by the Act.• Undertake inspections, investigations and research into ionizing radiation sources and practices to ensure the protection of life, health, people and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.• Categorize and license activities involving exposure to ionizing radiation.• Review applications from facilities practicing Industrial Radiography, Well logging and Radiotherapy, and capture their data in the software distributed by IAEA-Regulatory Authority Information System (RAIS) which is a computer based program for the management of information on all types of radioactive and ionizing radiation sources under regulatory control.

• Facilitate the preparation as well as update and review the yearly procurement plan of Kaduna state Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) while ensuring that procurement activities are conducted as per the approved procurement plan.• Involved in the contract administration and complex capital procurement of infrastructural works of MDAs in Kaduna State.• Harmonize the Procurement Guidelines of Development Partners such as World Bank, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Agence Francaaise de Developpement (AFD) with the Public Procurement Guidelines of the sub-national (Kaduna state government) for seamless procurement process and procedures.• Prepare and periodically update the state database of vendors, supplier and consultants. Facilitated the preparation of technical specifications, terms of reference of standard bidding document for the procurement of goods, works and services in Kaduna state.• Prepared annual procurement reports of Kaduna state government for 2018 and 2019.

• Developed McKinsey 7S Organizational analysis reports for Kaduna state Ministry of Health based on the directive of the Governor.• Collaborated with other government officials in developing the Policy Development Documents for Housing, Public Assets Maintenance and Urban Development.• Represented the Governor at high-level meetings of the Ministry, Department, or Agency I was posted to: Kaduna State Power Supply Company; Kaduna State Facilities and Management Agency; Kaduna State Water Corporation and Ministry of Housing and Urban Development as Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State.• Collaborated with Technical Working Group (including government officials and civil society organizations) on validation of 2021-2022 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Action Plan. • Made significant contributions towards building the State’s commitments to e-governance, open contracting, developing a permanent dialogue mechanism for citizens’ engagement, and strengthening the social protection system in Kaduna State.
