Kaleidoscope Youth Center is Ohio’s largest and longest-serving organization decided to serving LGBTQIA+ youth. I oversee all aspects of KYC’s Education and Outreach program, bringing education on LGBTQIA+ youth and related topics to the community at large, and supervising school advocacy outreach efforts and new KYC research initiatives. ● Create and facilitate comprehensive training workshops, leading team to reach over 10,000 individuals in 2022, tripling 2021’s total● Created and maintain evaluation process for measuring training effectiveness, with 58% of completed evaluations indicating a growth in confidence in working with LGBTQIA+ people after completing a workshop● Acquired KYC’s first learning management system, Teachable, and managed self-facilitated virtual course project from initial concept through planning and development, implementation, and evaluation● Coach Education & Outreach team to continually improve their facilitation skills, lesson planning, PowerPoint design, and ability to respond well to tough questions● Design and facilitate in-service internal training opportunities for KYC direct service staff members based on needs identified and requested by other teams

I built KYC’s Education & Outreach department from scratch by taking responsibility for all external education opportunities, growing the program from 25 training engagements in 2018 to 67 in 2020. • Developed and implemented new processes for organizations requesting training, fielding almost double the number of requests the first year (48 requests) over the number of actual facilitated workshops the year before (25 engagements)• Created and put in place processes for internally collecting, tracking, and reporting data related to training and other speaking engagements• Quickly adapted to using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Mentimeter, and Slido to successfully navigate shift from 100% in-person workshops to 100% virtual workshops due to the COVID-19 pandemic

I led KYC’s youth leadership and school advocacy outreach efforts, collaborating with the National Association of GSA Networks, leading growth of the Ohio GSA Network, and coordinating network events for students. • Facilitated the development of Gender and Sexuality Alliance clubs in Ohio’s middle and high schools, supported the growth and stability of existing GSAs, and recruited 45 schools to the network• Coordinated annual Other Prom event for 400 youth, including venue and vendor selection, budget management, volunteer management, and collaboration with youth for most creative decisions

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio was an Ohio Department of Health’s grantee to administer the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP), a national program focused on sex education and life skills. I coordinated and facilitated this education, reaching 90 youth involved in the juvenile justice system in Southeast Ohio.● Facilitated Training of Trainer program, training 60 youth service providers in the juvenile justice and child welfare fields as future facilitators of evidence-based sex education and life skills programming● Utilized pre-tests and post-tests in both youth program and Training of Trainers to ensure fidelity

Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council serves youth members and adult volunteers in 30 counties across Central and Southern Ohio. I developed, coordinated, executed, and evaluated program initiatives in the arts and humanities, health and wellness, and financial literacy according to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) model. ● Collaborated with 20+ community program partners to increase understanding of GSLE and incorporate it into their Girl Scout events● Managed the Council’s summer outreach program, maintaining relationships with 50+ youth-serving community partners serving 2,500 new Girl Scout members, as well as hiring and training a team of two part-time facilitators● Planned, coordinated, and evaluated Mall Lock-In event for 600 Girl Scout members, 250 adults, and 30 staff

The Peace Corps is an independent government agency that trains and deploys volunteers to provide international development assistance. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I worked with counterparts within the Provincial Education Office, other provincial government offices, and regional primary schools to provide in-service teacher training based on needs observed by counterparts as well as Peace Corps Vanuatu’s education goals.● Developed and facilitated training workshops on topics including classroom management, lesson planning, and literacy for over 60 teachers in 15 primary schools● Planned, coordinated, and evaluated the region’s first 5-day summer camp for 20 teenage girls
