The platform is designed to provide services to all the General Directorate of Educations in Saudi Arabia. We are experimenting with it at the level of the General Directorate of Education in Qassim before we generalize it at the national level, however. The main characteristics of this platform are as below:- Single account for multiple positions; e.g. it easy for a user to be a teacher in a school and a director in another- ensure a smooth and full dynamic in creating permanent positions, assigning users to institutions, and attaching roles to them- fully dynamic and simplified interfaces to create application forms- simplified interactive interfaces to define metadata responsible for automating the evaluation of the application, and comparison.- followed the multi-tenancy architecture (multiple Databases in a Single Server) to isolate features and services between all General Directorate.- RESTful API with all features provided in the platform.» Illiteracy rate tracking systemThis app helps to track the illiteracy rate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The people could add illiterates in their families and surroundings. Whereas, agents overall institution’s levels, including schools, education offices, and general directorates, could validate and manage them. The challenge was how to update existing IT systems in the university under rules that are inflexible and unfriendly with recent IT technologies such as the obligation to use ancient programming tools, limitation, and complexity to finance out of box projects, and working with unprofessional staffs. Besides, a high volume of sensitive and chaotic data must be protected from loss and reorganized to be well prepared for integration into the new updated systems. Also, many obstacles were waiting for the expansion and utilization of a released system between the university’s family such as private IT companies that are eager to keep employees unprofessional and dependent on the ready-made systems.I have set all the necessary conventions, formed my IT team with the new updated systems, and wrote the documentation of released projects. I have controlled the private IT companies contracted with the school and worked under my supervision to reduce the project's budget and feed my team with the updates, project life cycle, and some maintenance techniques.
