With external, internationally recognised advisor successfully managed the audit process under IFRS by a big4 firm. Confidence here ensured continued support of investment committee in the portfolio company helping to raise external finance. Costing system development in order to impact and provide corrective actions for improved operational performance.  Commercial tax planning & structuring reducing tax liability and improving liquidity ratios. Actions included conversion of a portion of shareholder debt to equity, rationalisation of interest rate on the shareholder loan and changes to the transfer pricing. Obtained multi million USD working capital credit from two primary financial institutions whilst in a loss making situation without tangible collateral or corporate guarantee provision. Additional financing majority capex spend through lease finance from multiple providers. Aligned to cash forecasting framework and reporting were able to achieve minimum borrowing terms, earning interest by investing excess cash in banks.  Played a key supporting commercial role through continuous analysis restructuring mechanisms focused on cost of extraction, processing, life of mine, fixed cost and similar enabling effective strategic decision making. Re-positioned from processing own low grade ore at high cost to processing high grade ore from third party suppliers at low margin  Took a lead role in procurement and supplier contract negotiations totalling greater than $100 million.  Company representative in annual wage negotiations with labour unions. Boss Mining (DRC) Key Achievements: Upon acquisition by ENRC ,was appointed interim CFO taking the lead for the successful financial integration of Boss mining into ENRC.  An appointed shareholder representative. Developed procedures that enabled Boss to align to ENRC in both the reporting framework, systems and reporting standards transitioning to IFRS.  Facilitated the post acquisition valuation and audit under IFRS by ENRC auditors.  Assisted corporate M&A team in acquiring many localised small scale mining operations consolidating our local resource pools and associated controls. Reduced cash holding by c90% by stopping cash based payments and better cash forecasting. Heightened auditing and competition screening to attain better supplier contract terms.
