Research Associate - Laser Development
CurrentHELA project: Development of an Ytterbium-fiber-based high-efficiency laser system for inter-satellite WDM optical communication. Amplification of ten separate wavelength channels up to 10W of output power each, i.e. 100W power in total. Our work also comprises the development of a corresponding multi-channel seed source with up to 10mW per channel and wavelengths between 1060nm and 1069nm, i.e. approx. 1nm channel spacing.[HELA is a part of ESA's HydRON project (High throughput Optical Network) in the framework of the SkyLight programme.]Laser Development Department - Solid-State Lasers Group
