I am currently the General Counsel for CleanDNS, which provides a service an platform that supports the running of a safer domain name system (and beyond) by standardizing and streamlining abuse remediationI have a particular expertise in the area of data protection and have obtained a Professional Certificate in Data Protection from University College Dublin/Institute of Bankers. I am the current Data Protection POC for CleanDNS Inc. I also hold the role of Chief Policy officer for CleanDNS, and continue to be involved with ICANN policy work on key areas such as DNS abuse, rights protection mechanisms, and additional emergent topics related to registration data, ensuring the ongoing evolution of the industry, whilst representing the interests of the contracted parties. In the wider DNS policy sphere, I was Director of Compliance and Policy for Identity Digital, one of the largest domain name registries in the world, and in that role was Vice Chair of Admin for the Registry Stakeholder Group (RySG) for 2021(Oct)-2023, was the Co-chair of the RYSG DNS Abuse Working Group, as well as a member of the negotiation team for both the ICANN DNS Abuse amendments and The Data Protection Specification with ICANN. I was one of 3 chosen representatives for Registry Operators on the Expedited Policy Development Process for Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data (ePDP Phase 1-2A), and one of 33 people deciding industry policy for compliance with Data Protection legislative requirements, including in particular, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I have also co-founded an effort to align the Contracted Parties in their process for tackling Child Sexual Abuse material in the DNS sphere.Invited member for the Security & Stability Advisory Committee's (SSAC) DNS abuse working party resulting in the publication of SAC115.
