Coordinating all R&D and component development efforts across multiple organizations in support of the design of the propulsion shafting system for the OHIO Replacement Program..

- Assist the Technical Director in the day-to-day operations to ensure the program is running efficiently.

- Project Lead for Phase I Ohio Replacement Program free-running model tests, duties include: coordination with Fabrication Shop to ensure model parts are built according to specifications, develop test plan and test matrix, reserve test facility, create Project File, establish baseline run to verify model is operating at nominal capacity, analyze data to ensure Sponsor requirements are being met- Conduct maneuvering tests of autonomous submarine models in support of creating U.S. Navy established Safe Operating Envelopes (SOE), scaling studies, adjunct vehicle impacts, concept stern orientations, and sail bridge trainer (SBT) support- Document test inception, model construction, budget, relevant correspondence, calibration data, test plan, test matrix, and test completion in Project File- Lead Test Readiness Review (TRR) with Sponsor to ensure they are completely satisfied with the scope of the experiment, test schedule, model preparation, and the deliverables- Assemble model according to test configurations- Ballast and trim model to neutrally buoyant condition and set model BG to match full scale submarine being represented- Calibrate strain gauges for use in the appendages, propeller, stator and/or Special Adjunct Vehicles (SAV) as required- Analyze model maneuvering and controllability data and present results in a technical report - Provided logistical input for establishing a test facility at Triadelphia Reservoir to support autonomous model tests that have large scale depth excursions - Participate in Full Scale Sea Trials in the capacity of Hydrodynamicist in order to validate SOE and autonomous model maneuvering predictions- Train and mentor summer interns in basic model knowledge and operation

- Procured design and cost estimates from contractors bidding on new building construction and renovation projects at Carderock Division- Worked in conjunction with private contractors and Carderock Facilities to furnish project scopes, cost estimates and established milestone dates from the design phase to project completion

- Provided engineering support for development of new designs, resolution of technical problems and design improvements for mechanical components of AN/BRA-24 Antenna System- Coordinated and performed materials testing in conjunction with Rowan University to find a suitable replacement for Beryllium Copper (BeCu) bushings utilized in the antenna- Prepared detailed report documenting test results- Reviewed and revised drawings for BRA-24 technical manuals to ensure that they met Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) standards- Executed on-site inspections, overhauls, and required routine maintenance on U.S. Navy Submarines

- Aided in the design of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system of Seneca Correctional facility- Supported project management tasks including materials selection and the editing of field drawings- Updated engineering design database to ensure that drawings were dimensioned and labeled according to company standards

- Conducted research utilizing the process of Pulse Laser Deposition in order to create well-structured thin films composed of Silicon Carbide and Aluminum Nitride- Applied the technique of X-Ray Diffraction to evaluate the properties of various samples

- Wrote and revised test procedures to ensure that all information was accurate, up-to-date, and adhered to military and company requirements and standards- Ensured contract specifications, military specifications, and system diagrams were incorporated- Also participated in testing of ship systems for overhaul contracts to ensure that equipment was operating according to General Specifications for Overhaul of Ships (GSO)
