About meBorn in Delhi, India and grew up in Al Ain, UAE. I have been a part of two different worldssince the beginning. I worked in both countries and switched a few jobs in different fields,starting from call centers in Delhi to working in real estate in Dubai for couple of years, untilI finally landed where I belong, which is filmmaking. I moved back to India and startedworking as assistant director in a production house in Delhi in 2018 and climbed my way tobeing an independent film director. It has been about 6 years since I have been in theIndustry.Filmmaking & NicheI direct and post produce in the vertical of TV commercials and digital content for sports,fitness, and adventure related brands. Since 2019, I have been directing digital videos andcampaigns for brands and companies in India, as well as making a few passion projects thatare focused on creating 'cinema' in the world of sports and adventure. I started withdirecting long-format series of campaigns and eventually moved into making TVcommercial-like capsules for brands. I have worked with some of the brands, like Etsy &Avon Cycles, for their video campaigns in India.I have a deep-rooted connection with the emotion behind athleticism in any sport, whetherit’s snowboarding or just running. I understand the new-age design language spoken inmost of the commercials, and filming punchy and impactful commercials comes verynaturally to me. I am passionately motivated and built to create ad films in the world ofsports and adventure.ProcessA vital aspect of my job is to think of creative ideas and bring it to life. I work like an architectwhen it comes to the process of filmmaking, I stick with the project from it’s pre to post-production and lead it from paper to screen. My pre-production deck is based on astructure constituting the plot, vision, character arc, mood, treatment, look and storyboardof the film. Before the shoot, I conduct acting trainings for non-actors and discussions withactors about exploring the character and going into details about their traits, and thendirect them on sets. In post-production, I create the stitch, sound, and color of the film withthe editors, sound designers, and colorist.TasteI have a very distinctive taste when it comes to content. My recipe for creating brandcontent is to focus on writing scripts that have a message and can connect with a globalaudience. Apart from making it a creative idea, I tend to add logic and realism to my writing,which could be digested by any viewer across the world.
