About Adam Byrd

Looking for new opportunities. Preferably custom engine work, game technology, or engineering tools. Small teams are a large plus. Not looking to work with Unreal Engine.I am a problem solver at heart. I have a deep love of meaningful video games and solving difficult programming problems. I have an attention to detail bordering on obsessive, a talent for learning on-the-fly, and am always looking for new skills to acquire. I value curiosity and pragmatism. I have a strong background in physics and mathematics and experience shipping multiple games on desktop platforms and consoles. I have fantastic communication skills and work well in a collaborative, team setting. I thrive in the unknown and I constantly push myself to produce the best work I possibly can. I love what I do.

Investigated optimal configuration of a radio frequency driving cavity within a storage ring accelerator. Using existing Fortran simulation, determined the ideal driving frequency to produce a stable, discretized particle beam with the correct radius. Also helped refine steering and focusing dipole and quadrupole electromagnet properties for use in the proposed storage ring. Work was done in collaboration with the Storage Ring pEDM Experiment group at BNL.
