•HAL LCA Tejas Division- I got an overview of the various stages of making a fighter aircraft and the various departments that perform their roles and responsibilities. In this Division, I chose the outsourcing department to understand its crucial role in supply chain management from cater the production demand by outsourcing to different vendors and how to deliver a component 2-months before its demand can reach to Stores.- The outsourcing department enhances efficiency, maintains quality, and reduces costs in the complex supply chain of a defence manufacturing setup like the HAL LCA Tejas division. Coordination with IMM(Integrated Material Management), Methods, and Scheduling for generating pick lists, and Stores is crucial for generating work order receipts and running the production process smoothly. This knowledge will be instrumental in optimizing supply chain management practices.
