Class gift is a student-run charity committee in charge of the student giving campaign, with the 2020-2021 cohort fundraising for the Student Support Fund. In this role I raised awareness about fundraising events, spread information about the cause, and discovered innovative ways to spark interest about the charity selected for the year.

I worked with my university to provide women in STEM subjects with opportunities to meet other women studying in schools of science, network with qualified women working their subject areas, and build links with the industry and meet potential employers.

Hosted a radio show with three additional co-hosts where we engaged in discussions on different aspects of media, including films, TV shows and literature. Every week involved planning upcoming features with examples including feminist media, the industry of franchises, and seasonal segments.

Worked with Dr. Bela Bode’s research group, studying the GB1 protein with focus on investigating different spin labels and their respective properties, as well as the structure of the protein. Heavily involved in the research process, with active participation in conducting site directed mutagenesis, PCR, spin labelling, EPR, mass spectrometry, transformation and more. (January, Summer 2020)

Worked collaboratively with other counsellors to foster educational and enjoyable camp experiences, while being responsible for the safety and welfare of children aged six to sixteen. Gained experience in planning a wide range of activities from sports to creative projects.
