As a member of AIB’s Specialised Lending team, I was working with a wide variety of clients with a criticised loan exposure of €250m across a wide variety of sectors. My responsibilities included:• Preparation of credit proposals, strategic and financial reviews of all cases within the portfolio and the presentation of same to both Divisional and Group Credit Committees.• Preparation of financial models to evaluate and critically analyse cash flows and where necessary calculate and address debt provision adequacy.• Analysis of the valuation of security held and the repayment capacity of various entities in a number of different sectors.• Detailed analysis of company performance coupled with identifying areas of weakness or strength within companies.• Working with all stakeholders to develop recovery strategies and restructuring for maximum loan recovery.• Worked on the transfer of eligible borrowings and associated assets to the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA).• Coordination of Legal Due Diligence, Valuations and Data Capture streams for the NAMA transfer with demanding deadlines in order to ensure maximum possible value of assets transferring• Day to day relationship management of the portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with the borrower, NAMA officials, third party external consultants and advisors.

I gained experience working on a wide variety of clients that included industry based clients, banks and fund administrators. My roles progressed in terms of responsibility and team leading as my experience and business intelligence developed. My responsibilities included:• Conducting audits to gain an understanding of how clients are performing financially.• Researching and analysing large volumes of information by performing financial tests.• Ensuring proper books of account are kept in accordance with company legislation.• Coaching and leading teams of up to 20 junior members of staff.• Reporting and liaising with partners and senior management.• Working to inflexible deadlines and ensuring work is completed within budget.• Worked on Investment Management Companies where I dealt with a range of investments including Equities, Forwards, Futures, Options, Bonds and Contracts for Difference.• Experience in working on industry based clients included a large engineering company, manufacturing company and large retailer.
