Dr. Seema Garg is Professor at Dept. of Chemistry and Head, Student Affairs, AIAS, Amity University, Noida, India. She joined Amity University in 2011. She received her M.Sc. in 1998 and Ph.D.( Chemistry) in 2003 from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, UP. She began her career in 2000 as a guest faculty for classes of MSc (Analytical Chemistry) at Agra college Agra then moved on to serve at UPTU college from 2001-2011 as Head & Dean Students’ Welfare. She has experience of teaching B.Tech., B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD students. She had a career standing of 23 years. Her research interests involve synthesizing nanoparticles using green methods for photocatalytic applications viz. Degradation of pollutants, H2 generation, CO2 reduction to provide efficient and affordable solution to the industry. She has to her credit 18 PATENTS (6 granted) and many publications in journals of repute viz. RSC (Environmental Science:Nano (IF: 10) , RSC Advances), Elsevier (J of Cleaner Production (I F: 11.03) , J of Colloid and interface Science(I.F. 10), Separation and Purification technology, Applied Surface Science, J of industrial and Engg Chemistry, Ecotoxicology and Env Safety, Ceramics Int, J of Photochem and Photobiology etc. with h index 16 and i10 index 24.She has completed a project as a Principal investigator a DST-NRDIO sponsored bilateral Indo-Hungarian Research Project with a total funding of 1.74 Crore. Nw, she has again got the approval as Co-PI of DST-NRDIO sponsored bilateral Indo-Hungarian Research Project with Prof.Pravin Ingole and Prof.Sameer Sapra, IIT Delhi. She was awarded a certificate of appreciation as a Principal investigator of exemplarily collaboration during Indo-Hungary joint research by University of Szeged, Hungary in June 2019.
