• Manage, track, and direct the daily workflow of clinic coding duties• Provide formal documentation/coding training and education to all staff physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and other staff within the clinical team• Provide expert level reviews/internal audits to identify gaps in clinical documentation and provide regulatory guidance through effective action plans post audit• Assist with denials and coordinate staff duties among revenue cycle• Conduct focused audits in various areas such as E/M, radiology, global fracture care, major joint procedures, and spine procedures (list not inclusive)• Work closely with administrative team, medical director, compliance officer, and legal counsel to effectively implement internal coding policies

• Assign appropriate E/M level and procedure codes using the CPT-4 manual• Coding for the following areas: SDS, Hospitalist, Critical Care, SNF, ED, Acute Care Facility, OBGYN, and other multi-specialty providers nationwide • Assign appropriate diagnosis codes using ICD-9 CM and ICD-10 CM • Maintain production rate of 12 encounters per hour that exceeds the required 10 per hour with a 95% accuracy rate • Experience working with EPIC, 3M, and meditech

• Perform coding for assigned hospitals via medical record review; perform coding for emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care records• Coding for the following areas: HEDIS, STARS, PQRS, E/M leveling, SDS, Hospitalist, radiology, PEDS, Critical Care, SNF, ED, acute care facility, and multi-specialty providers• Assign appropriate diagnosis codes using ICD-9 CM/ICD-10 CM, HCPCS, and CPT guidelines • Maintain production rate of 25 encounters per hour that exceeds the required 18 per hour• Experience with meditech, old meditech, epic, mckesson, emds solution series, 3M, IDX, and multiple other online EHR software systems• Assist with training colleagues and review individual work barriers to determine individualized training needs• Assess provider documentation for accuracy and compile monthly CDI reports while developing a collaborate relationship to facilitate the accomplishment of goals with each individual provider and/or hospital
