One project involved building a new Next.js website for the Nova (https://novafm.com.au/) and Smooth (https://smooth.com.au/) brands of Nova Entertainment. The websites included radio station content and a music player. I built reusable frontend components based on wireframes while integrating REST APIs to populate the site with real data. I also configured Vercel, integrated analytics to the website, and mentored a new joiner. One accomplishment was that I overrode a vestigial service worker from the previous website that was installed on some users' machines and which created undesired side effects such as routing to non-existing routes. The website was launched successfully in the middle of 2023 with over 150K signed-up users (double as before) and faster loading times than the previous one.The other project involved me enhancing the Android Auto and CarPlay features (available on cars head units) of our mobile app; this involved frontend work on the native side (Swift and Kotlin) as well as the React Native side. The app allowed for users to listen to radio and podcasts and watch videos. I also configured AppCenter and Azure DevOps CI pipelines and deployed the apps to the App Store and Play Store. I revamped a React Native mobile app for a client called Kolmeo: the Kolmeo Pro mobile app. The app enabled property managers to do their day to day work, like carrying out routine and exit inspections of properties, request jobs, taking pictures of the premises, and generating reports. I built reusable frontend components based on designs, integrated APIs, and configured CI pipelines on AppCenter. Besides my technical inputs I also helped address business logic challenges. One accomplishment was the resolution of multiple AppCenter pipeline issues caused by changes to how our monorepo was being managed; I did the migration from lerna to yarn workspaces. The new app was launched in the second half of 2022, customers reported much better performance and the app’s review on the stores improved.I also contributed to another project: the Kolmeo (React) web platform. I did frontend work and helped enhance our GraphQL API. Similarly as with the mobile app, customers reported a better user experience on the web platform after the changes.Key tasks:- Building reusable front-end components.- Connecting UI (User Interface) with data from GraphQL API.- Testing the app on Android and iPhone.- Configuring CI (Continuous Integration) pipelines on AppCenter.

New React Native mobile app from scratch for all company brands. The app allowed users to listen to radio, read articles, and watch videos. I worked on the front-end doing design systems while also mentoring a junior developer. One accomplishment was the resolution of an issue related to YouTube videos not displaying due to copyrights restrictions by using a WebView component to display the video and JS content coming from a proxy site. The app was launched in late 2021 and the customer reviews went from around 2.1 starts on the stores to 4.2 stars.Previous (WordPress) websites. The websites included a radio player, articles and videos. I worked in a full-stack developer capacity. This project was interesting because we implemented the now-defunct Google AMP, which was a web components library with many restrictions around its use. One accomplishment was circumventing Google AMP rules to display ads. The websites were launched in late 2020 with overall loading times about twice as fast as the previous versions.Key tasks:- Building and testing reusable front-end components. - Writing unit tests.- Modifying WordPress REST API endpoints.

Multidisciplinary greenfield project to assist Alzheimer’s patients’ caretakers. The project involved the design and manufacture of a fall detector in the shape of a necklace. Caretakers had to download a React Native mobile app that helped them track their patients’ location and signals. I built UI components for the app, and programmed a fall detector simulator on a Raspberry Pi to test Bluetooth.Key tasks:- Building UI features of the mobile app.- Configuring Raspberry Pi device with Node.js to simulate a fall detector.
