As the Green Schools Organizer I worked with the staff, our members, and community allies to amplify the need for public school buildings to be green healthy places to learn. In my short time on staff I:□ Facilitated weekly team meetings to track and analyze data from over 500 schools to identify schools with highest amount of facility complaints and those located in areas with high pollution metrics □ Increased engagement amongst membership by 10 - 25% with campaign through committee meetings, social media posts, informational flyering, and school visits□ Collaborated with an external partner to do a climate justice book giveaway for members which resulted in more than 30 teachers receiving classroom sets for their students

I participated in an institute that provided support to high school teachers to implement data science skills, lessons, and mini-units in the classroom. The institute had two parts, a three week summer intensive where we learned basic coding and data science skills and monthly sessions where we discussed ideas on how to be implement what we learned in our classrooms.
