Function involves document review of newly acquire assets to assign appropriate useful lives and full reconciliation of the general ledger.Responsible for preparing monthly billing to affiliate hospitals for physician services provided by Mount Sinai Hospital, which involves review of contracts and working with internal departments and with affiliate Hospital Finance staffs to reconcile and coordinate timely payments.Responsible for account analysis, bank reconciliations, journal entry processing, detailed budget vs. actual documentation, provide departmental support regarding their ledger inquiries, and assist in monthly financial statement preparation.Coordinate month-end financial close process, which involves working with various departments and entities to gather necessary financial information to process in a timely preparation of financial statements.Coordinate with management within department, as well as other departments, in order to report on the progress of special projects and necessary changes or modifications.Assist in business plan development and logistical planning, ensure that grants, clinical trials and other revenue and expense driven projects are properly monitored and timely reports are prepared.Prepare and submit purchase orders, contracts, change orders, invoices, check requests, petty cash vouchers, travel requests and travel vouchers, fund transfers and human resource transactions.
