As a lead data engineer on the Real-Time Analytics team at Twitter, I contribute to the development and maintenance of a custom analytics platform that supports all systems requiring real-time data analysis, such as Twitter Analytics and Twitter Ads. This platform also underpins offline systems, including machine learning (ML) applications, by providing essential analytics capabilities.Key contributions and responsibilities include:- Participating in the design and implementation of cross-cloud stream aggregation pipelines using technologies like Kafka, PubSub, and Beam/Dataflow.- Assisting in the development of a custom analytics storage solution built on top of Google Bigtable and BigQuery.- Contributing to the design and operation of a highly distributed serving infrastructure that includes custom OLAP systems and SQL frontends.
