Oversee the completion, opening, and long term success of the new $27M, 104 Acre State of the Art Tournament Facility in Seminole County Florida.2 miles east of the Orlando Sanford International Airport.Opened 1st weekend in May 2016.Facility has 6 Natural grass and 9 synthetic turf, Musco lit, Baseball/Multi-purpose Fields. The 9 synthetic fields convert for Football, Soccer, and Lacrosse. Also has 24 Batting/Pitching Tunnels, a huge Playground/Picnic Area, several miles of Recreational Trails. All managed with our new 14 machine fleet of John Deere Mowers, Groomers, Tractors, and Gators..There are more than 34 miles of subsurface irrigation lines, 4,000 sprinkler heads, 2 miles of wind screens, and 2.4M SQ FT of Sod. (3 types: Bahia, Bermuda, and St. Augustine).We have partnered with the Central Florida Sports Commission and they have booked tournaments every weekend for the next 18 months EXCEPT... Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Led construction oversight and pre-opening build out managing the pre-opening budget, all FF&E, and all event programming. The project moved over 500,000 cubic yards of mountain to complete.Direct an 80 acre, state of the art multi-sport destination in Gatlinburg. The facility is 86,800 square feet of indoor space and 7 outdoor Football, Soccer, Lacrosse fields Astro Turf Fields with Musco Lighting.In year 1 we delivered a $17.4M in economic impact against a proforma of $10M. These numbers consist of 20,000 athletes, 35,000 affiliated spectators, and 25,000 room nights. In year 2 we will hit hit year 4 goals.Also in year 1, we have hosted 44 multi-day events against a pro-forma of 26. In year 2 we will hit the 5 year target of more than 50 multi-day events.Rocky Top Sports world also houses Champ's Grill a full service food and beverage operation and the Trophy Room, a full service merchandise and retail center.Rocky Top Sports World has many great clients both local, regional and national. As a member of the opening leadership team for Disney's Wide World of Sports, I helped develop, build, program, and run one of the greatest sports venues in the world. Working with professional, collegiate, and amateur sports organizations and events, we planned and executed over 180 events annually in 20 plus different sports. I consistently managed multiple clients, timelines, and venues simultaneously.Having many different roles while at Disney Sports, 2 key roles were the ATP Tournament Director for The US Men's Clay Court Championships from 1998 - 2000. This opportunity allowed me to oversee and work with more than 35 functional areas within Disney Sports, The Walt Disney World Resort, the USTA, the ATP, CBS Sports, all Sponsors, and all Off-site Resorts.As Sports Area Manager from 2004 -2009, I had many clients/roles, including responsibility of The AAU portfolio.
