I started my journalism career in 2015 as a business reporter at Sun Star Davao. A year later, I was tasked to strengthen the digital presence of the community newspaper. For nearly a decade, I served as the Digital Service and Content Head where I spearheaded the strategic and creative direction of Sun Star Davao across all social media platforms. I was a fellow of the 2018 Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) - Youth Exchange in the Media Industry in Japan and 2022 Temasek Foundation WAN-IFRA Young Media Leaders in Singapore.For over nine years in the industry, I received 16 journalism awards from different award-giving bodies like Globe Media Excellence Awards, J. Burgos Biotechnology Journalism Awards, Sinag Financial Literacy Journalism Awards, and Luntiang Pluma Environmental Journalism Awards.At present, I worked as the Strategic Content Coordination Assistant/ Community Manager at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines.
