Dr Celik is an honorary research associate at the University College of London and also lecturing in many higher education institutions on a part-time basis. He earned his master’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York and a doctoral degree from the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice, The State University of New Jersey. He has also completed a graduate-level Advanced Security Studies Program at Marshall Center, The European Center for Security Studies in Germany.During his quarter-century-long successful law enforcement experience, he held various positions including UN peacekeeper in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Deputy Counsellor for Security Affairs at the London Turkish Embassy. He also has a strong background in information technologies (IT). He contributed to the design of excellent information management system. He has software development experience and a great experience working with a big volume of data. He has also played pivotal roles in many successful national and international conferences. He is a recipient of the UN Medal and many commendations in the national and international levels.He co-authored a textbook, co-editor of two books, published so many scholarly written articles. They were all cited many times.His research and teaching interests are primarily in the areas of security studies, post-conflict territories, peacekeeping, terrorism, national security, and transnational crimes.
