Gis Specialist
CurrentSpecialize in NG911 data standardization, validation, and integration, followed by system configuration and GIS integration processes.Perform responsibilities within legislative and regulatory standards set by Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes, aligning with the operational policies of the County of Frontenac.Utilize relevant software to prepare graphic reports, maps, and charts for GIS services.Assist in preparing technical analyses and reports.Ensure accuracy of source documents and quality control of final GIS documents and datasets.Update datasets and generate maps for planning applications, developments, capital improvement projects, zoning, road networks, civic addressing, natural features, cultural assets, and other projects.Conduct mapping research and analysis in both field and office settings, ensuring data accuracy.Act as a liaison on GIS matters with various client groups, including County departments, Townships, neighboring Counties, provincial/federal departments, conservation authorities, emergency services agencies, consultants, private companies, environmental resources, and citizen groups.Coordinate GIS use with other departments, local municipalities, and external agencies.Collaborate with senior staff to provide quality and informed service to local municipalities.
