Hello! I'm Archit Chawla. I'm a graduate student at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business, studying Big Data Analytics & Management. I have a passion for helping people and solving problems. Big Data Analytics is a field I've long been interested in, and I have extensive experience applying my skills in this field in both my coursework and in the IT industry.I am a member of my local Toastmasters club. This organization has assisted in my career growth by teaching me interpersonal and communication skills. In every project presentation and interview I have had since joining Toastmasters, I have applied the skills I've learned in Toastmasters. Being in the club has also taught me evaluation skills. Before joining Toastmasters, I struggled to evaluate people in live-time, but being in the club has taught me to think on my feet and respond to people in a thoughtful manner and explain my thoughts to them in a more organized manner. I've learned how to respond quickly and on my feet. I also have extensive experience leading and managing project teams in my coursework. In every class, I’ve volunteered to be the point person for my project teams, keeping an open line of communication with the professor, and setting up communication channels for the group. This has allowed me to work on and hone my communication skills with teams and learn how to best connect with people so that we can work together towards devising the best solution to a problem that helps accomplish the goals that the assignment requires us.I have extensive experience in Machine Learning and NLP. I've completed a number of projects involving these fields both in my college courses, including at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in a professional setting through my internship at Cox Automotive, where I specialized in machine learning with NLP and Sentiment Analysis using large language models such as VADER and BERT. I accomplished this using tools such as Snowflake and Power BI in SQL and Python. Overall, I believe I am highly qualified for this position based on my experience, and I have an extensive track record of working in and leading teams to get the best out of the people with whom I work, as I've gotten high grades in every project in my college courses involving machine learning & NLP, including at the undergraduate & graduate levels, and from my managers at my previous full-time job at Equifax and my most recent internship at Cox Automotive.
