Global Manager

Current

Greater New York City Area

As the Global Manager of Advocate Art, I oversee a team of 12 agents across the US, UK and Spain; we are a multinational company that generates a revenue of nearly four million dollars annually (of which I contribute $750,000 in my continuing role in sales). Advocate Art represents nearly 250 illustrators from around the world, whilst my personal client list hovers around 100 accounts, and at any given time I am managing 40+ projects. Additionally I hand pick every new artist the agency signs and decides to develop. I act as the touchstone for our company domestically and abroad, and am personally responsible for overseeing the continued success of our agents, client satisfaction, projects, and public image.

Oct 2018 - Present

Senior Agent

Greater New York City Area

Upon my promotion to Senior Agent, I continued my already assigned Artist Agent duties, but was also given more responsibility and leadership roles within the company (such as training new recruits). I took over all art direction and trend spotting for Advocate Art, and created multiple trend reports and moodboards throughout the year for briefing artists ahead of various trade shows. Additionally I took over managing some of our key US accounts, such as Hallmark, Scholastic and American Greetings (who we have an annual contract with). Within the team I started to generate weekly emails for client outreach, which were replicated and used across all company branches, as well as heading weekly meetings to discuss goals and targets. Finally, having taken over more accounts and having more internal duties meant that on my busier days I was sending upwards of 200 email correspondences.

Mar 2018 - Sep 2018

Artist Agent

Greater New York City Area

I was promoted to a full time employee and agent in the summer of 2016, and when I gained my agent wings I was given for the first time my own accounts and projects to manage. My most labor intensive job was a project for HMH where I tracked over 100 assets with precise detail across multiple contacts at the company. Additionally I was also tasked with briefing artists ahead of our portfolio launches for publishing and licensing, and assigned 40 artists in particular to champion and develop. This all involved (on top of project managing) scheduling the artists via our Filemaker system and Google calendar, inputting job details, and once the projects were approved generating invoices for clients. I also mastered systems such as GlobalScape, Asana, and Catalyst to upload files for specific accounts. Additionally, I was assigned designing marketing materials and portfolios in InDesign and Photoshop, as well as content creation and copy writing for our bi-monthly Mailchimps.

Jul 2016 - Mar 2018

Trainee Agent

Greater New York City Area

I was brought on as a part time Trainee Agent after graduating from Parsons and was given a myriad of duties, including but not limited to: cataloging and tagging images, sending all mail and packages domestically and internationally, meeting follow ups for agents, depositing client checks, blogging, artist solicitation, validating new clients, processing contracts and various website audits.I see this period of my career as an integral piece of understanding the ins and outs of the company I would later go on to manage; by knowing how every process (no matter how small!) worked, I have been an effective and fair manager for my team.

Mar 2016 - Jul 2016

Production Intern

Greater New York City Area

As a Production Intern I had a number of responsibilities; these include but are not limited to: making certificates of authenticity for prints, writing artist statements for the 20x200 website, contributing to newsletters, creating promotional collections of art for sales, hand delivering prints to VIP clients, emailing clients regarding availability of prints, and formatting images for the website. More importantly, though, working for 20x200 has taught me the ins and outs of running an art business and invaluable information about proofing and quality control for art prints.

Apr 2016 - Jul 2016

Freelance Digital Artist

Carol Peligian

New York, New York

I worked with Carol to create digital mockups for her upcoming sculpture installation "Unseen". My digital pieces helped her form an idea of what the finished piece will look like once it's implemented onsite, as well as help create a color scheme for the finalized sculpture. I additionally also assisted Carol with various admin tasks such as applying for grants and organizing files.

Dec 2013 - May 2016

Visual Intern

Element Snacks

Greater New York City Area

While working with Element Snacks in Fall 2013 I designed characters that symbolized their product's (gluten free rice cakes) four flavors - Strawberry, Milk Chocolate, Orange, and Dark Chocolate, and placed the characters in various scenarios and scenes. These characters were then used on Social Media (Facebook and Instagram) to promote the brand's identity and to celebrate seasonal events.
