Through use of FOIA, court records, and developing strong relationships with sources, I was able to generate exclusive content for on-air and digital products, growing WDEL listenership and WDEL.com reach. At breaking news scenes, I acted swiftly to deliver timely and accurate live reports to keep the community up-to-date and routinely filed reports for the CBS Radio Network, heard on hundreds of stations nationwide. All stories were produced one-woman band-style, including use of photography and video to enhance visual storytelling.As editor-in-chief, I led all breaking news and special coverage initiatives, including ongoing coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a collection of 1,500+ uniquely local virus-related stories.
