As a technical lead, conceptualized and built Search & AI platforms that enable features like Search Generative Experience, Vertical Search, Answers, Shopping, Geo etc. This includes among other things - the GenAI platform that all AI developers in Search use to adapt LLMs for their use-cases, Semi-structured search that is the foundational platform for all Search features and is the search engine behind Google Cloud Search.Current Areas of focus: AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval augmentation, information retrieval and knowledge representations.Prior to Principle Software Engineer, was a Director in Google Search of a 60+ team leading Search Verticals (Job search, Recipe search, Media search etc.). Before that worked on structured data - ML extraction of structured data, schema.org etc. Prior to Google, was the lead of Needlebase (ML web extraction tool), that was acquired by Google as a part of parent company (itasoftware) acquisition. Before that was a Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft Bing (part of the founding team), focused on distributed computing. Responsible for designing and developing distributed large scale scheduling service, distributed programming language and caching service. Also worked as a lead of a team responsible for distributed storage system and a developer in Bing device management, multimedia search and other infrastructure, storage and search related projects.
