CurrentForeningens Solåsens Venner ble etablert for 100 år siden. Foreningen ble i sin tid stiftet av kvinner til Frimurere i St. Johanneslogen Olaf Kyrre til den gyldne Kjæde. Formålet var å hjelpe vanskeligstilt ungdom med en meningsfylt ferieavvikling - spesielt når kanskje familien ikke hadde ressurser. Gjennom disse 100 årene har Foreningen Solåsens Venner skapt et god fundament og idag tildeles hvert år midler, etter søknad støtte til ideelle organisasjoner og lag som jobber for barn og ungdom. Jeg er svært stolt og glad for at jeg skal lede denne stiftelsen videre.

My partner Rune and I presented a new strategy for the owner Grey in Copenhagen – building the next level of media and marketing consulting, focusing on ROI (Return on Investment). Our owner turned us down and we prepared to start by ourselves. We notified our clients that we were leaving the company. The press wrote several articles about that I was leaving the company. I got many calls from people in the industry – national and international.One of the calls came from McCann WorldGroup. They asked us to join the company with our new idea – named Return. It was a success from day one! We won every big new biz pitches including new clients as Hakon (ICA), Steen & Strøm, Expert, Sense Communication, MøllerGruppen (Audi, VW, Skoda, and Seat). The main goal makes our company, people, and products known by our work, participation and true PR.My work included management, development, new biz, PR work, education, and training.Late in 2002, I was asked to go into the role as CEO

This was so far the fastest growing media agency in the Norwegian history. We won the Norwegian Media Strategy Award in 1997. Award-winning as best Media Agency in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999! Our mission and agreement with Mediacom was to build the best media agency in the market. Best do not necessary mean the biggest. Our goal when we started was MNOK 600, we almost double that goal. My work included development, finance, new biz and client accounting; clients like Duracell, Telenor , Midelfart & Co, H&M, Bertel O. Steen (Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot), Minde Sjokolade, BMG, Warner Music, EMI, Eva records.Best experience from this job – growing organically true right focus.

I was asked to take the position as President and CEO for the Nordic operation.Norway had moved fast forward, Sweden quit doing well, but something happened in Denmark. We discovered a misappropriation done by the management. The Danish company was in fact bankrupt and we had to move fast and handle the situation in the best way. And we did so. Late in 2005 we started to discuss the possibilities for splitting up the company in different pieces and sell it to industrial investors. I was the architect for the final solution. We sold the Norwegian operation to Mediacom / Grey and the Swedish operation to Mindshare / Ogilvy.My work included development, managing, structure, company laws, finance and accounting. I was also responsible for some big clients as Telenor, H&M, Duracell Nordic and Midelfart & CoBest experience from this job – making structure, building a new strategy and conduct the management buy-out

Michael Werner, Scansat’s (TV3/Kinnevik) first executive vice president, had started his own media consultant company in Stockholm Sweden. Company was named Scandinavian TV Consultant. He asked me to start the operation in Norway, and this was my first step into the media agency world. I was tired of being the company head and offered me to work as an operative position as marketing manager. Company head in Norway was the first managing director of Tv3. After a short while I discovered irregular transaction in the company, and I was asked to take the position as managing director for the Norwegian company. The company grew fast with clients as Byggmakker, Rema 1000, Minde and H&M. In 1994 we got Telenor as a client. Telenor are the major telecom company and one of Norway’s biggest advertisers. I was a part of the Nordic leader group and Member of the Boards in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The company succeeded and grew in billings from 0 to MNOK 250 in a few years time. My work included development, sales, budgeting, managing, accounting, finance and reporting.Best experience from this job – start up -doing the right thing at the right time drives success.

Sverdrup Dahl was one of the oldest family driven media companies in Norway founded 1911. The company did all marketing, sales and distribution of commercial films to the cinemas in Norway. I was headhunted for a job as a sales representative for a new product.After less than 2 years work, I was promoted as deputy head and after a short while managing director for their subsidiary company Radio Reklame. The first phase of the job was to get commercial radio to Norway, Working true the government and political parties. 1st. of May 1998 commercial radio was launched in Norway.The second phase of my job was to build a strong independent sales company for commercial radio. Radio Reklame was located in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim. Total we were more than 50 headcounts in the company.Late in 1991 – Sverdrup Dahl decided that radio was not in their core business, and after trying to sell the company to Schibsted. My last job was to shut down the whole operation. Sverdrup Dahl failed in their strategy and closed down the company in 1996.My work included lobbying, development, sales, budgeting, managing and reporting.Best experience from this job – learning it’s no easy way to success. It’s only hard work.

My responsibility as a sales representative and regional manager was to sell products, do education to store sales persons and drive campaigns around different parts of Norway.
