I have been involved in the activities of the Environmental Management Center within the Marmara Municipalities Union since 2010, and have been the Environmental Management Coordinator since 2014. Before working for Marmara Municipalities Union, i took place rural development projects as project assistant and coordinator.I completed my undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering at Selçuk University and simultaneously graduated from the Heat and Energy Department within Mechanical Engineering at the same university. During this time, i took part in research projects in the fields of industrial wastewater management and interdisciplinary renewable energy. I completed my master's degree in Istanbul University Environmental Engineering Department after i conducted modeling studies for effective collection and recovery of WEEE. I graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa, Environmental Engineering Ph.D. Program with my thesis titled "Determining the performance of sustainable development goals of cities by focusing on air quality and water/wastewater management." I also do academic research on the finance of environmental management and the costs of waste management in central / local governments, as well as on sustainable development, circular economy and climate change.In addition to integrated waste management, climate actions and localization of sustainable development studies in local governments, I am professionally conducting studies on the environmental situation of the Ergene River and Marmara Sea. I continue to work as a member of the Solid Waste and Wastewater Management Task Force and Energy Efficiency Task Force within the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS).
