Assistant Dean For Finance And Resource Planning
Current• Serve as a key member of the Dean’s administrative team through oversight and management of the College of Arts & Sciences million general fund budget to ensure that budget, personnel, and processes align with the goals of the College and University;• Responsible for maintaining hiring and reappointment processes for over 600 faculty, staff, and graduate assistants;• Work with Dean, Directors and Department Heads in short- and long-term financial and resource planning to ensure that all resource needs are met for teaching, research, and services needs of faculty/students and to ensure the efficient execution of business process needs;• Develop and maintain financial, enrollment, labor market analytics and data reports using Lightcast, Argos, Tableau, and Excel to provide reports on financial and enrollment data;• Review departmental needs and develop budget and personnel requests and justifications using a data-informed and needs-based approach;• Identify trends or changes through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data review, and adjust resource allocations to support those changes while maintaining peak efficiency;• Collaborate with Human Resources, Faculty Personnel Services, Office of Institutional Research, Office of Student Success, Office of Advancement to ensure success of College and University goals;• Head the CAS Budget Office and provide leadership and support to departmental admins in business processes and personnel management while fostering an atmosphere of integrity and high ethical standards;• Work with Development Officers and Office of Advancement to ensure strategic utilization of donor funding and endowment spending and identify targeted areas of needs or potential entrepreneurship; and• Serve the College, faculty, and staff as subject matter expert on all financial, business, and enrollment management efforts, processes, and policies as they pertain to both the College and the University.
