(Engineering Manager from Oct '19 – Oct '21; Senior Engineering Manager from Oct '21 – June '22) • Led effort to complete in-house loan origination system, unlocking significant improvements in scale, unit economics, cycle times, borrower satisfaction, quality control, compliance, and new product development. Impact on the order of millions of dollars per month during Better's growth to a top-20 mortgage company. • Led team responsible for all aspects of mortgage workflow, including pricing, eligibility, borrower credit, rate locking, property data collection, underwriting, closing, compliance, funding, and investor delivery. • Architected framework for automated selection of optimal underwriting process for a loan scenario. • Maintainer of 1 out of 4 modules of engineer interview process; grew team from 30 to nearly 400 engineers.
