I taught Modern American Military History and the History of the Vietnam War

In this role, I helped organize and lead the establishment of the NIP/USNI eBook Program, which showed progressive growth each during each year and grossed more than $1mil during the first four years of its existence. In addition to introducing NIP eBooks, I also introduced efforts to transition older titles to POD and coordinated with other departments to cross-promote all NIP/USNI initiatives. In addition advancing operational aspects of the press, I effectively broadened NIP's general acquisitions pipeline and culminated in the establishment of two new series: The History of Military Aviation and Military Transformations. Both series remain vibrant today.

I acquired 15-20 new titles per year, focusing not only on naval history but broadening NIP's military history list in general. Contemporary strategic studies, aviation history, and general military history were areas of emphasis. I also took part in the transition to, adoption of, NAVISION, an organization-wide CRM and project tracking platform. It was customized for the press to perform various necessary functions not included "out of the box."

Transitioning from the academy, I shared the responsibility of launching a new imprint, Praeger Security International, a division of Praeger and Greenwood Publishing. This new imprint focussed on contemporary strategic affairs. It remains in existence today under the umbrella of ABC-Clio, and continues to produce important books on global strategic affairs.
