Duties and responsibilities included close protection for embassy officials, emergency response team, operations management, advance team and a plethora of other roles and responsibilities over a 6 year period.

My role as a Principle Consultant was to provide specific guidance on developing and enabling comprehensive physical protective programs and policies for the client's retained by the firm as well as assisting with business development and training programs. I fulfilled these responsibilities between my frequent deployments with the Diplomatic Security Service program during the time period.Areas of focus included but not limited to physical security, executive protection, site security advances, security site analysis consultations, vulnerability assessments for property and individuals, surveillance operations, training programs, domestic and international travel programs and other roles as requested by the clients.

Roles and responsibilities included law enforcement duties for the department, enforced rules and kept order. Responded to disturbances within assigned facilities, participated in crisis and incident management events. Inspected facilities to ensure that they meet federal and state security and safety standards.Member of the Department of Justice SORT unit (Special Operations Response Team) which is a tactical team required to be proficient in marksmanship skills, entry and room clearing techniques, principal protection details, physical facility penetration testing as well as fugitive and escapee procedures. The team is regulated and tested by the federal OPM and recertifies each year with the MP5 submachine gun, P229 Sig Sauer handgun, 870 Remington shotgun, L8 gas launcher, and many other lethal/less-lethal SWAT firearms, equipment and tactics.

In my role as an infantry/security personnel and company-level intelligence specialist, I was tasked with a range of responsibilities, from patrolling and executing route clearance operations in the region, to conducting in-depth analyses of regional geopolitical events. My role included the scrutiny of prominent leaders, evaluation of threat factors, and risk assessment pertaining to any elements that could directly or indirectly affect the mission of the Marine Corps in our area of operations.Pre-deployment training was multifaceted, encompassing live fire ranges, intensive physical training, and comprehensive intelligence training. This included threat analysis of the area destined for occupation by our unit, as well as proficiency training in the systems and processes used by the Marine Corps and our Allied intelligence communities for information dissemination and analysis.Following the completion of the OIF deployment, our unit returned to the United States. At this point, I transitioned to the reserve component of the Marine Corps, where I dedicated the subsequent years to honing our unit's military readiness through monthly drills and 2-3 week training sessions. Concurrently, I began my role as a law enforcement officer for the Department of Justice.My service further included a deployment to Mexico as part of a Mobile Training Team. We were a small contingent of Marines tasked with aiding in the instruction of Mexican Marine forces and local law enforcement. Our mandate involved the delivery of a small unit leadership course in Campeche, Mexico.While serving in the Marine Corps reserve, I concurrently upheld full-time duty with the Department of Justice. In May of 2012, I concluded my active military service and transitioned to the Individual Ready Reserve, before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2013.
