NALCAP (North American Language and Culture Assistants Program) is a year-long public diplomacy program intended to bolster English language in primary and secondary schools within Spain. As a language assistant, I act as a cultural ambassador advancing English language learning and mutual understating through cultural exchange in hopes of broadening students’ knowledge of our language and culture. My day to day involves lesson planning, speaking and vocabulary exercises, and lessons about life in the United States. Through this program, I am able to refine my Spanish speaking skills and immerse myself in their culture.
