I’m the founder of FireOak Strategies, a boutique consulting firm designed to help organizations solve problems related to knowledge management and information security. We work with organizations to make it easier to find, discover, share and secure data, information, and knowledge.I am passionate about delivering value to FireOak's clients. I bring a unique combination of skills, experience, and expertise at the intersection of information management, knowledge management, information science, library science, and technology. I serve as a fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO), fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and the lead consultant for many of our clients. We help clients with all sorts of strategic, operational, and tactical projects related to managing, securing, and sharing knowledge. A few examples of our recent projects: - Developed knowledge management strategies for international organizations. - Served as the fractional CIO and vCISO for several growing non-profit organizations.- Reviewed the enterprise architecture for clients, then eliminated redundant platforms, migrated data, and improved security for the remaining platforms. - Built custom intranets and knowledge bases within Microsoft 365, specifically SharePoint Online. - Developed open access, open data, and open knowledge strategies for international organizations. - Conducted security and sharing reviews for major cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Google Workspace. - Implemented single sign-on (SSO) for several platforms.
