Dreams are phenomena intrinsic to the state of human sleep, we all go through this experience to some extent. When we lay our head on the pillow, still in that waking state in which we are half asleep and half awake, we enter a transition phase, we stop experiencing reality and enter the dream universe. In addition to scientific and psychoanalytic definitions, an aspect of primary importance involving dreams lies in the attention dedicated to memory. It is through it that we access our past experiences and open space for the unconscious to act. The dream universe reveals itself to be infinitely creative, giving us the sensation of contemplating a future under construction and the ability to shape it.The central objectives of this research include the development of a multimedia artistic installation that explores the genesis of images and sounds during dreams, as well as the creation of a critical reflection that encourages questioning about the impact of technology on human memory storage processes. The investigation involves understanding how these technologies contribute to the formation of abstract images and sounds present in dreams, and how emotions and affections influence the process of artistic production.

Artistic and content production for film, photography, literature and the arts

Researcher at the project "Brain Behavior analysis using the most advanced Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision" (BBAI), of the Civil Engineering department of the University of Porto. The BBAI project aims at research and innovation in the development of artificial intelligence algorithms capable of identifying, through visual computing, physiological and psychological states that are dangerous to driving, using the most advanced techniques in the collection and marking of data collected in real and simulated driving environments. All the algorithms developed during the project will be put to the test in the field through a HealthyRoad Mobile application.My responsibilities include writing, cleaning and preparing databases, performing statistical analysis, interpreting results, reviewing literature, proposing and designing studies, writing scientific papers, preparing abstracts, and scientific outputs to national and international conferences and initiatives.
