I have a long experience with technology and computing, both in programming but also in technology management. Throughout my high school and university education I participating in the early Usenet/ Bullettin Board system communities.In 1994 I used this experience and knowledge to found Nonsoloweb, a consulting firm for small business networks, which later played a pioneering role in the spread of the World Wide Web in Italy. In 1995 I created one of the first Italian Internet Service Provider: Flashnet. The company achieved great successes in a short time and became the first Internet Service Provider in Italy licensed to operate a fixed-line telephony network. In 1999, the company was sold to to Cybernet AG, one of the leading Internet service provider in Germany. The collaboration with Cybernet AG continued until 2000. At that point I left the company as I was called to contribute to a new telecommunications startup: Edisontel, a subsidiary of Edison an Italian utility company. In Clouditalia I focused on the integration of the best telecommunications, virtualization and cloud computing technologies. I’m member of Milan Internet Exchange (biggest Internet Exchange in Italy and one of the first in Europe) technical committee.During my career I have seen the Internet transform from a university tool and the domain of technical enthusiasts to a fundamental element for human and business communications. My broad work experience has enabled me not only to increased my technical and leadership skills, but also develop high level skills in customer management, development of business and investments plans, and managerial skills to supervise the construction of major projects and software infrastructure for the business world.
