- Analyzed and promoted the use of new technologies.- Lead the architecture, design and implementation of Mezzanine, mainly focused on real-time video streaming and cloud. New video cloud architecture was based on WebRTC and SFUs (Janus) to share videos across multiple Mezzanines and gRPC for client-server communication.- Lead the architecture, design and implementation of Rumpus. Rumpus was an audio conference and collaboration tool based on WebRTC. We used SFUs (Janus) for audio streaming across participants.

- Created a prototype with Electron, Firebase, WebRTC and React.js as a internal product proof of concept.

- Worked as a Director of Development leading a team of 12, providing technical leadership, mentoring and hiring.- Designed and prototyped a new distributed configuration management system for Mezzanine, based on Salt and Python’s Flask and OpenAPI/Swagger.- Led the transition to a new major OS versions: new init system (systemd),new kernel, major version Ruby upgrade, etc.

- Worked as a Technical Lead and started initial Mezzanine’s cloud infrastructure. We used Go for the back-end, CoreOS, docker, fleet, etcd and friends. After the first prototype, we moved to a new architecture on top of Kubernetes.- Analyzed and selected hardware and built Mezzanine’s new 4K video capture pipeline.

- Developed Mezzanine’s screen sharing based on Google’s libwebrtc and GStreamer.- Created Mezzanine’s real-time streaming server in C and C++ built on top of GStreamer, RTSP and RTP with FEC (Forward Error Correction) and encryption with SRTP and dynamic bitrate adjustment.- Worked on Mezzanine’s 1080p video ingest pipeline developing GStreamer elements.- Developed a video streaming appliance based on GStreamer: coding, releases, packaging and documentation.

- Part of the software team of the LISA Test Package project (within ESA’s LISA Pathfinder), a payload developed by the European scientific community.- LISA Pathfinder satellite was launched on December 3, 2015.- Wrote embedded software for the Data Management Unit which is in charge of handling the scientific information from the spacecraft.- Worked on the 64 Kbytes non real-time kernel in C (and SPARCv7 assembly) to bootstrap the DMU, including an interrupt manager, a non-preemptive scheduler.- Worked on the main application which had hard real-time constraints and required a real-time operating system (RTEMS).- Responsible for software releases and software configuration management.- Wrote the coding standards and also involved in software requirements and architecture as well as many other technical notes.- Designed and built the needed software infrastructure (build tools, nightly builds, moinmoin wiki, bugzilla, mercurial...).
