About Alan C.

I am the Director of Information Technology at O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, a leading institution in cancer research, prevention, and treatment. With over 15 years of experience in IT leadership and management, I develop and implement IT strategies that enhance the center's IT infrastructure, operations, and compliance. I also collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate the integration and utilization of IT resources and tools that support the center's mission and vision.Some of the projects and programs that I have successfully executed include implementing a cloud-based storage system, upgrading the network security protocols, and developing a disaster recovery plan. I use IT as a tool for innovation and excellence in cancer care and research, and I am always looking for new ways to improve the security and reliability of data and systems. In addition to my role at O'Neal Cancer Center, I am also a passionate veteran advocate and a community leader. I serve as the President/CEO of a consulting firm that provides IT and business innovation services to various organizations, as well as a Council Member and a Board Director of two non-profit organizations that support veterans and their families. I leverage my skills and expertise in IT, security, and business to create a positive impact and value for my clients, partners, and stakeholders.
