I’m a UX designer and strategist with over 15 years of experience in creating intuitive designs for Web and mobile apps. I help teams tackle complex design problems by assessing the big picture, breaking it down into smaller pieces, and designing intuitive solutions that actually ship. I’m particularly passionate about improving cross-functional collaboration within Agile teams. I've worked in a number of different domains, from educational financing to enterprise software. What ties them all together is interesting, complex challenges where my work can make a real difference. Having compelling problems to sink my teeth into is what gets me up in the morning! I've been the sole UX designer or the UX lead in most of the projects I've worked on, which has taught me to look for the big picture and given me a wide breadth of experience in different disciplines, including interaction & UI design, prototyping, UX research, usability testing, and visual design. I'm an experienced presenter and facilitator, and I love running collaborative brainstorming and design sessions with the teams I work with. Although I rarely write code in my day job these days, my background in technical consulting and front end development helps me break down tough concepts and speak the language of the teams I work with.
