This transformative endeavour connects seven river and ravine systems, fifteen parks, sixteen kilometres of trails, thirteen neighbourhoods, and over two hundred hectares of meadows.Throughout my tenure, I have demonstrated proficiency in various aspects of project management, including grant writing, report generation, and the development of management plans, contracts, and proposals. Additionally, I possess comprehensive knowledge of fish and wildlife habitats, regulatory legislation, and ecological restoration principles. I have received comprehensive training in ladder truck and pumper truck operations, as well as in the use of equipment such as the jaws of life, pumps, hoses, and wildfire suppression techniques. Additionally, I have undergone specialized training in handling flashover situations. I am adept at managing dangerous and challenging situations safely and professionally, ensuring the safety of both individuals and property. In addition to my operational duties, I have been actively involved in equipment maintenance and upkeep to ensure optimal performance during emergencies. Furthermore, I have contributed to fundraising efforts with the firefighter association, leveraging my network and resources to support essential initiatives. I was engaged in a four-month contract where I conducted wetland evaluations across the district. Utilizing ArcView GIS, I delineated wetlands and contributed to the addition of over 1200 hectares and 200 wetlands to the NIRVIS database.My role required me to work outdoors in various conditions, demonstrating my ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments. Additionally, I possess excellent skills in plant identification, enabling me to accurately assess and document vegetation within wetland ecosystems.
