Vega is an adult-based dance studio in Portland Oregon. Just is adults no children or “tweens”. Our general guideline is 16 and up. Why? Because our average age group is in their 20’s and 30’s, and even a giant handful of people in their 40’s. For real. Also, because sometimes we swear.We are a DANCE studio. You will learn a DANCE ROUTINE in our classes. Not how to dance at a nightclub. And believe me, if you have ever seen some of us dance in a nightclub, you wouldn’t want to learn how to do it from us.

Acrux Design+Lab is the counterpart of Vega Dance+Lab. Vega is home to 1000's of high energy fun loving humans and Acrux Design+Lab is just me, myself and I. Acrux is a much quieter environment a banner that I fly over my collection of creative skill sets. At the heart of my skills is the passion for commercial art/design. "Passion?" I think its more of a crippling disorder lol. I believe every project is an opportunity to create something really cool, and deliver a completely original creative solution that is right-on-point. I am constantly searching for the delicious treats at the top of the creative fruit tree. Owning a retail service business provides me an insight to my clients companies that other creatives typically don't have. I would start to see holes in their business operations or see opportunities for new revenue streams. I my found my "creative concepting" mutating more and more into "business concepting." I transitioned from small business to Start-Ups where my exposure to Business Issues were amplified 10-times-over. The Start-Ups I worked with all had great ideas and then some investment money would show up. I would come on-board to do Brand Development and Marketing/Sales due to my background as a freelancer. These Start-Ups all had such high hopes they all has so much energy, but they all had so many holes in their game plan to execute a functioning business. Start-Ups have so much Rah-Rah and not enough "Hey! how in the world are we really going to do this?" After helping them find those answers enough times I decided to add "Conceptual Business Development Specialist." to my skills. Is that a real job title? I have no idea - pretty sure I totally made it up. What does it mean? I like to concept business solutions that have the ability to be monetized. Especially if digital web technology can be included.
