I act as the primary contact for the Corporate Leadership Development, Corporate Benefits, and Payroll Department regarding payroll, benefits, HR issues, and training. I work closely with the management team to make sure the overall BBNW policies are in accordance with corporate policy and Federal, State, and local law.I am responsible for all new hire onboarding including I-9 verifications and being the liaison between Leadership, Ops, & IT. I am the payroll administrator and oversee compliance.To promote employee engagement, we have implemented programs like a Mentorship Program (mentor from different departments), Welcome Wagon Committee, and by conducting Stay Interviews.

Via Workday I process & issue all operating and administrative expenses and make recommendations when & where savings can be found. Other duties include reconciling & posting employee reimbursements from Concur and compiling reports when requested such as spending trends, cost analysis, and breakdowns by department or employee usage.

As an intern I began with basic responsibilities, which included answering phones, organizing mail, and uploading constitute comments. However, it did not take long for my responsibilities to increase as I was trusted to handle constitute requests, cases, and meetings on behalf of the Senator. This granted me the flexibility to contact the proper federal offices throughout the country on behalf of her constitutes. Through this experience I had the opportunity to meet not only the Senator, but also President Obama when he gave a speech in Portland, ME.
