My duties were to conduct surveys for a range of protected species including badgers, bats, birds, great crested newts and water voles in-line with Natural England guidelines. Undertook data searches, risk assessments, species appendixes, bat analysis and supported the production of technical reports. Assisted in robust protected species surveys for infrastructure projects maintaining confidentiality and keeping to strict working restrictions. Prioritised workloads ensuring deadlines were met while maintaining a healthy work-life balance during the busy survey season. Applied strong team working and collaboration skills working closely with team members in the field and the office setting. Other duties included liaising with clients and landowners, attending business development events and other tasks to aid senior members of the team.
Waste And Recycling Assessor
I organised driving routes, scheduling which order to visit and asses a specific list of bins before local collection times. In this role teamwork has been essential in order to achieve targets and keep to a tight schedule. Towards the end of this project, there was a large amount of data entry. Project Title: “Survey Approaches and Management for Bat Species at WWT Martin Mere”. The project required learning survey techniques such as bat identification, mapping, and echolocation analysis.

In this role I was responsible for assisting young people with specific learning difficulties in lessons and through one to one sessions. I also assisted the onsite matrons, having responsibilities such as driving pupils to sports lessons, entertaining and engaging with students during the weekends and was responsible for making sure students went to bed on time.
