CurrentHaving received his Bachelors of Science degree from Quinnipiac University, Dr. Michael Orefice went on to further his education by specializing in sports medicine and the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. He successfully completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program through the Department of Anesthesia at McMaster University located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Additionally, Dr. Mike obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Bridgeport, practicing in diversified technique, a safe, gentle form of chiropractic adjustment. To his credit Dr. Mike has also studied and mastered the manipulation of soft tissue by using both the Graston Technique®, as well as full body certified in Active Release Technique® (ART).A sports enthusiast, Dr. Mike is certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In addition to treating athletes Dr. Mike works on-site at local corporations treating overuse and repetitive sprain/strain injuries at the work place through ART’s Corporate Solutions Program. A participant in Crossfit, Dr. Mike currently treats some of the worlds best athletes in either their preparations for competition or managing injuries along their course of training. Dr. Mike has worked with Olympic gold medalists, players for the UCONN womens basketball team and players for the New England Patriots.Dr. Mike is currently the soft tissue consultant, chiropractor and medical acupuncturist for the Bridgeport Bluefish baseball team.While maintaining separate practices, we now share office space with OrthopedicHealth LLC. Dr. Weisman, Dr. Lahav and Dr. Schachter complete a small elite group of orthopedic surgeons that we thoroughly enjoy working with. This relationship allows us to make better decisions for our patients on which way their care or treatment should be directed.
