Alyssa Welch is a Marketing Intelligence Manager at Vibe Credit Union. We first met when she voluntarily qualified for the internal developmental program I helped lead called Analytics University. During that time Alyssa stepped out of her comfort zone to learn the fundamentals of data analysis and qualified to work directly with company SMEs. Her participation in the voluntary program took place in addition to her normal workload, partially outside normal work hours, and identified her as a hard worker going the extra mile to be more valuable to her team. Alyssa applied her new skills to complete the capstone hackathon project, demonstrating her ability to analyze and interpret data to solve company problems. She did this with curiosity, empathy and a lot of hard work. Because of her work ethic and can-do spirit, Alyssa was only one of four people (out of over 150 total) who were invited to provide input and ultimately help run the program for the next cohort. She is the real deal who goes above and beyond to succeed. After watching and working with Alyssa for almost three years I can honestly say she is one of those rare people who does whatever it takes to achieve the goal.
